    Position Summary

    Financial Administration

    • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payment tracking.

    • Process accounts payable and maintain accurate financial records.

    • Monitor AR aging and support cash flow management.

    • Assist with job costing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.

    Systems & Documentation

    • Maintain accurate data in QuickBooks Online and Billdr.

    • Keep financial and project documentation organized and up to date.

    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.

    Operations Support

    • Coordinate with Project Managers on project billing and job financials.

    • Support the sales team with deposits, invoicing, and customer documentation.

    • Act as the main point of contact for vendor and billing inquiries.

    Qualifications

    Position Summary:

    Payroll Processing & Administration

    • Process full-cycle payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly) using Workday

    • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, bonuses, expense payments, and deductions

    • Validate and reconcile payroll data prior to finalization

    • Maintain accurate payroll records and audit trails

    Compliance & Reporting

    ·       Ensure compliance with:

    o   BC Employment Standards Act

    o   CRA regulations (CPP, EI, income tax deductions)

    o   Employer Health Tax (EHT) requirements in BC

    o   WorkSafeBC remittances through accurate tracking of gross insurable earnings for workers

    • Prepare and submit statutory remittances (CPP, EI, income tax)

    • Administer and reconcile year-end processes including T4s, T4As, ROEs and calculation of year end accruals

    • Support internal and external audits

    Workday System Administration

    • Maintain employee payroll data within Workday

    • Troubleshoot payroll-related system issues and escalate as required

    • Support system updates, testing, and process improvements

    • Generate payroll reports and analytics for Finance and HR

    Employee Support & Issue Resolution

    • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner

    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to pay, benefits, and deductions

    • Provide guidance to managers and employees on payroll policies and procedures

    Benefits & Deductions Administration

    • Administer employee benefits deductions, pension contributions, expense payments, and garnishments

    • Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of benefit plans in Workday in consultation with the Benefits Specialist

    Continuous Improvement

    • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices

    • Contribute to policy development and documentation

     

    Qualifications:

    Education & Certifications

    • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

    • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation (or working towards) is strongly preferred

    Experience

    • 3–5 years of full-cycle payroll experience, preferably in a Canadian environment

    • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (required)

    • Experience processing payroll for multiple employee groups (hourly and salaried)

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Technical Skills

    • Strong proficiency in Workday Payroll and HRIS systems

    • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and BC-specific requirements

    As an Estimator / Purchaser, you’ll play a key role in supporting estimating, purchasing, and day-to-day project operations.     Responsibilities

    ·       Prepare building description sheets and organize project documentation for new construction jobs
