    Our client is a boutique environmental consulting firm based in Port Moody, British Columbia. They are a group of multi-disciplinary applied scientists that bridge the realms of regulatory and academic applied scientists, with a strong focus on the marine environment.  Spatially, they primarily work in British Columbia and Nunavut, with a strong interest for expansion to territories and provinces with a coastline.

    Position Summary

    You are a proactive, solutions focused project administrator with a vast knowledge and experience in similar project administrative roles. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well within a team environment and be able to function independently. You possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You have advanced skills in document administration using Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, to support the delivery of documents to our clients, and supporting the technical team with the establishment of Styles in MS Word. You will be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task in your day-to-day functions. In this position you will collaborate with the internal professional teams and will ensure that the key deliverables are met in an accurate and timely manner.

     

    Must be eligible to work in Canada.

     

    ·       Support client service staff to produce high quality documents for our clients, including letters, reports, regulatory documents, and minutes of meetings.

    ·       Support the development of proposal documents, including formatting large MS Word documents, and quality review prior to submission.

    ·       Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of the style guide for letters, reports and presentations.

    ·       Data management using the MS SharePoint system to monitor, support and maintain the internal data management platforms for accurate and up-to-date information.

    ·       Advanced knowledge in MS Word styles and creation of templates.

    ·       Coordinate travel for business meetings and field programs for all team members.

    ·       Manage and coordinate team calendars.

    ·       Work collaboratively with the team.

    ·       Creative thinker with an ability to support in improvements to our administrative and business planning.

    Qualifications

    ·       Post-secondary education in a related field.

    ·       Minimum of five years in an administrative assistant/project administrator position, in a similar service-based industry considered an asset.

    ·       MUST BE Technically savvy with an ability to stay up to date with changes in technologies (e.g. Advanced MS Word and SharePoint).

    ·       Exceptional level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional.

    Blueline Contracting is a General Contractor and Custom Home Builder in Whistler, Squamish and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor. They specialize in the construction of high-performance, sustainable and energy-efficient homes that embrace a modern design aesthetic.

    Position Summary

    Blueline Contracting is looking for an experienced construction site superintendent for work on high end, custom residential homes. They are a progressive company that specializes in start-to-finish construction of custom homes where details matter and precision is key. They have an amazing, tight-knit team and are looking for an exceptional individual to lead the team as the site superintendent, as well as manage the construction details at a high level.

    Construction Deliverables:

    • Lead, supervise, coordinate and instruct the activities of trades and own forces throughout the construction process

    • Ensure accuracy and quality of all work on site – both own forces and trades. All work on-site is a reflection of Blueline and is required to meet our standards

    • Carpentry work when required

    • Estimating and planning of materials required for construction and their delivery to site

    • Work with management and other site supervisors to meet staffing requirements at all sites

    • Compile requests for details, RFI’s for design and consultants as information is required

    • Manage and complete deficiency lists

    Scheduling:

    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities between trades, management, own forces and consultants

    • Quantify and organize materials and deliveries to meet the construction schedule

    • Schedule trades as required and adjust the schedule as conditions require

    Inspections:

    • Establish requirements for inspections by both municipal officials and consultants

    • Coordinate work with inspections required

    • Filing of inspection documents

    • Management of remedy or corrective actions required

    Reporting / Communication:

    • Attend weekly team meetings with management, collaborate on project details, progress and issues

    • Report daily on each project through company software

    • Confirm crew time logging accuracy

    • Provide updates to management where corrective actions for construction, safety or staffing are required

    • Provide feedback on trades and own forces performance, provide performance reviews with staff as required

    • Provide feedback on site efficiency and processes – offering solutions for improvement where applicable

    • Communicate with clients and the public as a representative of Blueline

    Safety:

    • Maintain safe, secure, healthy and inclusive work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal and WorkSafe regulations.

    • Ensure all workers on site meet our safety standards and protocols

    • Hold weekly site safety meetings, or as change of site conditions warrant

    • Complete all safety documentation for site conditions as required – fall plans, toolbox meetings, etc

    • Act as the site first aid attendant where required, including associated documentation

    • Correct any conditions immediately to conform to standards

    • Ensure security of the site daily – fencing, security, protection of materials and equipment

    • Perform site and/or company orientation for new staff as required, and perform training as required

    Company General Duties:

    • Repair and maintain tools, facilities/trailers as required, within our scope

    • Support other Blueline projects and staff as required

    • Provide warranty support for Blueline projects

     

    Qualifications

    • 15+ years of experience in construction

    • Minimum 5 years as a Site Superintendent

    • Minimum 5 years of experience on high-end residential projects

    • Red Seal Carpenter (or equivalent) with extensive experience building custom homes

    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a crew of carpenters and apprentices

    • Detail-oriented and committed to excellence, you take pride in problem-solving and see challenges as opportunities

    • Highly organized, with strong communication skills and well-managed job sites

    • Proficient with computers; comfortable using both phone and laptop as part of daily responsibilities

    • At least 10 years of working on high-end, architecturally designed single-family homes

    • Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter on complex custom residential projects, overseeing day-to-day site activities and ensuring top-quality workmanship

    • Deep expertise in forming, framing, cladding, and finishing—you should be confident and highly skilled in all phases of carpentry

    • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and execute work with precision and efficiency

    • Natural problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to building excellence

    Our client is seeking a Project Architect to join them in their mission to create natural and culturally significant designs. This role significantly contributes to their company by resolving technical issues and complex problems, while mentoring team members.

     

    ·       Complete technical reviews of architectural and consultant drawings, and provide mark-ups of review comments

    ·       Independently lead the resolution of technical challenges through identifying next steps, which may require collaboration and meeting facilitation, research of codes and manufacturer specifications, and applying your experience to look at options

    ·       Create high quality designs, including producing drawings, details, and specifications

    ·       Participate in design team meetings with consultants and clients

    ·       Mentor staff members, including project managers and architectural designers
